The story of Capitalism Land began at the end of May 2005. It is at this time that the first ideas left my spirit. Passioned by the game of management, I spent many hours to play Capitalism II, but after several hundred hours spent, the fact of not being able to add new products or lack of products, pushed me to think and from there was born the idea to create my own Capitalism II. At that time, the only computer programming language that I knew was the PHP, therefore it was towards this language that I decided to develop this game. The original name of the game was Industry Land which was changed into November 2005 following the discovery of an online game with a similar name and it was towards Capitalism Land that I turned for his new name. The first lines of codes were written on June 2, 2005 and the game started to function in July 2005.
Gradually the game started to become extensive and the bases of the game were created. A tester was recruited to test and many bugs were discovered and repaired. At the end of December 2005, the game passes from the version alpha to beta release with new a skin for the game. In January 2006, a lodging on the personnal pages of Free is created (capitalismland.free.fr) and it is at this address that Capitalism Land took his first steps on the fabric. After some referencings on directories of games and by word to mount of my entourage, the play started gradually with attracted people. Gradually Capitalism Land started to make his name. In April 2006, the switch to version 0.3 corrected many bugs and also included an integrated chat into the game. But very quickly, lodging on the personnal pages of Free starts to show signs of weakness (site which rows, database very often inalienable) and thus after the reservation of the Capitalismland.com domain name, which I decided to pass on a mutualized server mid-May 2006 at OVH.
At the end of July 2006, version 0.4 of Capitalism Land is in preparation with many improvements and a new whole skin. It is with this version that people were recruited in order to shoulder me in the task of the management of the play. But this new server gave a new breath to the game and allowed a fluid navigation and a continuity of service of the game. But this new server brought its batch of problem including 3 basic suspensions of data. Very quickly in front of this problem, I taken the decision to rent a dedicated server and it was on November 18, 2006 that Capitalism Land took its independence. Since this date, the play was entirely rewritten which allowed an improvement of the updates in particular. On April 14, 2007, putting online of version 0.5 of Capitalism Land which included not only a new design but also accesibility of the game in English language. Today Capitalism Land is a game that made its name on the web and still improving and developing itslef using the main players of the game.
